DESCRIPTION

Liver cancer is a cancer that’s found anywhere in the liver. The liver is a large organ at the top right side of your tummy. It helps you digest your food and removes toxins. Liver cancer can sometimes start in your liver or spread from another organ.

Symptoms –

Weight loss

Loss of appetite

Abdominal pain

Nausea and vomiting

Weakness and fatigue

Abdominal swelling

Jaundice

White, chalky stools

Risk factors –

Chronic infection with HBV or HCV

Cirrhosis

Certain inherited liver disease

Diabetes

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

Exposure to aflatoxins

Excessive alcohol consumption

Removing a sample of liver tissue for testing
