DESCRIPTION

Syphilis is a bacterial infection usually spread by sexual contact. The disease starts as a painless ore – typically on the genitals, rectum or mouth. Syphilis spreads from person to person via skin or mucous membrane contact with these sores.

Symptoms –

• Sore throat
• Hair loss
• Weight loss
• Swollen glands
• Headache
• Muscle pain

Risk factors –

• Unprotected sex
• Multiple sexual partners
• Gay sex
• HIV/AIDS infected person
