PATIENT PREPARATION –

COLLECT – tumor tissue

SPECIMEN PREPARATION – formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue. Protect the slides from excessive heat

STORAGE/TRANSPORT TEMPERATURE – room temperature or refrigerated

STABILITY – ambient: indefinitely; refrigerated: indefinitely

UNACCEPTABLE CONDITION – alternate fixatives and decalcified specimens

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS – clinical history is mandatory
